So the past two days I’ve had brown spotting and some significant cramping and back pain . I am 5 weeks and my lines have never gotten super dark . I took a test yesterday when these symptoms started and the line is fainter today. No active bleeding yet . Ladies that have been through this - how long did it take ? The waiting is torture . So very sad , but this has happened to us before at 5 weeks and we went and had two seamless pregnancies straight after . I just keep crying to my husband , “if it’s gonna happen , I wish it would just HAPPEN !!!”. :-(. Sorry for such an uplifting post for y’all on a Saturday morning. This is not meant to freak anyone out . This is common , but MOST women have healthy pregnancies ! So don’t worry mamas!!!

@ChelseaE4,
yes . The sensation I’m feeling is so similar to my first early loss . It’s like a deep , nagging pain. With my healthy pregnancies my lines were DARK by 5 weeks . So I knew in my heart this jelly bean may not be staying with me .

It could be a lot of things! It could be the hook effect. Yourlevels could be really high and that’s making the test read faint. It could be the ink in the test. It could be a little too soon to pick up enough hormones to be dark! Anything is possible. Your blood is brown which means it’s old. If it’s bright red then I would worry! Cramps are normal tho I cramped for the first couple week’s on and off sorta like Period cramps just not as bad and my doctor said that was very normal! Don’t stress too much! Share your concerns with your doctor! I wish the best for you!

Also, tests can vary in that range due to hydration. I don’t do fmu because it’s always lighter for me

Sorry you are going through this. My tests looked like yours. I bled 3 days after, it was fast and heavy for one day, with clots, and the following day was like a normal period. Today it has really tapered off. Everyone is different. Wishing the best for you.
